Apr 2020Hotel near the center of Canazei, and within walking distance of the ski lifts. To admire the precautions taken due to Covid, cleaning and organizing, the structure inside has many modern areas, it has probably been renovated in recent years, the rooms are simple, but complete. The courteous and trained staff, from the room to the wellness center, where it is also possible to have massages, or the playroom for children. There is a spa that is quite modern, there are two swimming pools, one for adults and one heated for children, as well as a smaller one with whirlpool. Exceptional cuisine, beautiful live music on the evening of August, even if the evening would have needed a little liveliness to avoid getting bored after hours sitting at the table. The prices are not exactly low.
Jan 2020Very nice and cosy room .. Excellent cleaning .. Wide choice of menus .. Wellness centre wow .. Friendly and helpful staff .. pity that the sun in Canazei lasts only in the morning .. But rightly this is not the fault of the Hotel. . Advise!!!
Jan 2020Excellent hotel ... just renovated down to the smallest detail, excellent cleanliness ... courtesy and helpfulness of the owners and all the staff have accompanied us for the whole holiday ... I recommend it to those who stay with children ...
Feb 2019Wood furniture and recently renewed interiors render the rooms quite comfortable and cozy. Our room was arranged in a slightly weird way though, with the shower in the middle of the living room. A nit pick of mine was the very low number of electrical outlets. Beds were OK but a bit narrow. While I didn't fully take advantage of the many services provided by the SPA, the experience was pleasant. The restaurant was a bit worse than the previous year but overall acceptable while service remained very good. The hotel has a bus service to get to and from the slopes which runs ad-hoc during low season and at fixed times during high season.
Jan 2019Christmas in Canazei - Very nice hotel, stay in communicating rooms with modern mountain style furniture. Very warm and welcoming, view of the area ... well heated swimming pool for small children, spa and super relaxation area ... excellent cuisine from breakfast to dinner ... very organized baby club service.I would say a very positive experience. Christmas dinner was memorable in terms of excellent courses and capacity the wines, we tried a local azineda both red and white. Very well-finished desserts. Friendly, discreet and helpful staff. I highly recommend it!
Mar 2018Great Experience - This was my first trip to the Dolomites, I usually ski in France or Austria. Hotel Astoria helped to ensure that I had an excellent time. Very helpful and friendly staff - whether it is the person at the front desk helping you decode the local bus timetables, or the staff in the restaurant taking the time to recommend a local wine to accompany your dinner. I really enjoyed the food here, it is plentiful and of a really good standard. In addition to the evening meal, there is a huge breakfast and a cold buffet around 3pm. You really don't need to eat lunch if you stay at the Astoria. The room was a good size, and I would describe it as adequate. Plenty of wardrobe space and drawers. The shower was a little cramped. Very impressive sauna facilities, pool etc. This was very popular with the women in our group.
Feb 2018Great property, I occupied the Astoria suite, comfortable, spacious enough, with a Jacuzzi in the bathroom. Courtesy set a little too limited. large terrace exploited little because cold. Excellent breakfast buffet, tasty afternoon snack and fantastic dinner. The wellness center has a swimming pool (rather cold water), a second smaller pool for children with excellent sound insulation and a very pleasant whirlpool, although in my opinion the water temperature was slightly too low. Then there is a relaxation room with warm and pleasant rose salts, sauna, Turkish bath, Knaip path; overall the spa is very nice. The hotel also has a shuttle service to the ski lifts, never used because in any case a walk up to the cable car was pleasant, but convenient for those wishing to exploit it. They offer an agreement with a ski rental very close to the cable car which I used and found it extremely comfortable. In the hotel there is however an area for the storage of heated skis and boots. Friendly and helpful staff. Overall excellent judgment.
